Vibration screens are often used to screen granular or dry materials. Vibration screens have an important technical parameter, the amplitude, which has a great impact on screening efficiency and output. In general, for the convenience of use, the vibration amplitude can be adjusted when designing the vibration screen, and the speed of equipment screening can be controlled by adjusting the amplitude. So how to adjust the amplitude of the vibrating screen?

The vibration amplitude of the vibrating screen

Vibration screen amplitude refers to the vibration amplitude of the vibration screen, which refers to half of the working stroke of the screen box, expressed by A. The unit is mm. For example: the amplitude of the ordinary linear vibration screen is about 4-6mm, and the stroke of the screen box is 8-12mm. The stroke of the screen box is usually also called full amplitude. The amplitude of the circular vibration screen is the radius of the trajectory circle.

Adjustment steps of vibration screen amplitude

1. Judging whether the vibration amplitude of the vibration screen can meet the requirements of the screening operation under the working state, if not, the amplitude can be adjusted;

2. Turn off the power;

3. Remove the shield on the vibrator;

4. The outer more one of each pair of balance blocks on the vibrator shaft to change the exciting force generated by the vibrator;

5. Put the balance blocks at the same percentage of the exciting force, and lock the eccentric blocks;

6. Pay attention to the vibration source on the vibration screen, that is, the adjustment value of the exciter or the vibration motor must be the same, otherwise, it will cause equipment damage.

Adjustment method of vibration screens with different vibration sources

1. If the vibration source is a vibrator, the weight of the eccentric block can be increased (decreased) (increase or decrease the secondary eccentricity);

2. If it is a vibration motor, the amplitude adjustment depends on the angle between the eccentric blocks at both ends of the motor shaft to change the size of the exciting force. If the angle is small, the exciting force will become larger and the amplitude will become larger; The force becomes smaller and the amplitude becomes smaller;

3. The shaft eccentric vibrator can increase or decrease the counterweight flywheel and the counterweight on the pulley to increase or decrease the amplitude of the vibrating screen.

Also note: the vibration sources (vibrator or vibration motor) on the vibrating screen must be adjusted in the same amount, otherwise the equipment will be damaged.

To enhance the efficiency of the screening process, precise adjustment of the vibration screen's amplitude is essential. This adjustment ensures ideal performance and output. When dealing with different vibration sources, such as powerful vibration motors or high-speed electric motors, the adjustment method varies.

For a vibration screen powered by a powerful vibration motor, increasing or decreasing the weight of the eccentric block can alter the amplitude. By adjusting the angle between the eccentric blocks at both ends of the motor shaft, the size of the exciting force can be modified accordingly. A smaller angle results in a larger exciting force and subsequently, a larger amplitude, while a larger angle reduces the force, professional to a smaller amplitude.

Similarly, if the vibration source is a high-speed electric motor, the adjustment mechanism remains analogous. Altering the angle between the eccentric blocks adjusts the exciting force, thereby controlling the amplitude of the vibration screen. Additionally, for shaft eccentric vibrators, counterweight flywheels, and pulley counterweights can be adjusted to regulate the amplitude effectively.

It's imperative to ensure uniform adjustment of the vibration sources on the vibrating screen to prevent equipment damage. By following these adjustment methods diligently, operators can optimize the performance of their vibration screens for various screening applications.
